This is amazing. Today’s Wall Street Journal has an editorial about Charlie Rangel’s proposed “small business” surtax–hitting those who earn more than $280,000 — OK, we knew they were lying before, but watch carefully at what the Democrats are doing with health care.

How’s this for a small biz stimulus: If you run a small business with 25 or more people and you don’t provide health insurance (i.e. lower wages to pay for health insurance) then they are going to make you pay for it anyway, by imposing a payroll surcharge.

Great idea… and just what do they think that small business who currently employ between 20 and 30 employees will do? Hire more?

Nope

Get rid of some or change them to contractors, thus reducing their hours?

Yup.

Great idea. If Congress keeps at it we’ll be over that 9.5% unemployment rate in no time.

These people are nuts. Its absolutely incredible the ends they will go to to crush this economy even further.

Now, more than every, small business owners should be banding together…if you have been hurt by this recession, and this endless spending and taxing continues, you are going to need to be among winners…all day… every day….
